STEP 1
Attach the pump hose to the pump. Make sure it is not cross-thread.
STEP 2
Remove the outer cap on the board.
STEP 3
Ensure the valve is in the up position.
(The valve has 2 positions. Up position for inflation and storage, down position for deflation. Adjust by pushing it slightly and turning it)
STEP 4
Insert the hose into the valve port then push and turn clock-wise until snug.
(Note: You may need to push hard before turning. Be careful to turn the mouth of the hose only. Do not twist the hose itself.)
STEP 5
Pump using an up and down motion until the needle read around 12 PSI. Do not exceed max pressure of 15 PSI.
IT IS NORMAL FOR THE PSI GAUGE TO READ ZERO UNTIL 50-70 PUMPS PAST THE POINT WHERE THE BOARD TAKES FULL SHAPE.
(Note: If your pump has a little plug on a string near the top, you have a two-stage pump. Put the plug in the hole and tighten for two-stage inflation. Remove the plug when pulling up becomes awkward for one-stage inflation.)
STEP 6
Remove the pump and replace the outer cap. You're ready to go!
STEP 1
Turn the board over and slide the fin into the fin slot. Make sure the fin slot is free of debris.
STEP 2
Secure the fin in place by sliding the plastic clip into place. Please note there is a top and a bottom side to the little clip. Warning: Failure to secure the boards fin may result in the fin coming loose and falling off leading to loss of control.
NOTE: THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE IS NOT NORMALLY REQUIRED FOR SET UP. IN THE EVENT YOU NOTICE AIR COMING FROM THE AREA AROUND YOUR VALVE, COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE.
STEP 1
Deflate board and remove your valve cap.
STEP 2
Open your orange patch kit and take out the valve wrench.
STEP 3
Insert the valve wrench into the valve assembly and tighten by turning clockwise. The trick is to put lots of pressure on the head of the wrench while tightening.
Warning: Do this while board is deflated! If you turn the wrong way, the valve assembly will shoot out of the board and cause injury.
STEP 4
Replace the valve cap and re-inflate your board.
(Note: Never use a screwdriver to tighten the actual valve at the center of the valve assembly)
1. Put on a life jacket and connect your leash.
2. Put the paddle board down in knee-depth water.
3. Get on the board. Start by kneeling in the center. The board's handle should be between your legs.
4. Take a few strokes to get used to the feeling.
5. When you feel comfortable, slowly stand up. Keep your back straight and your head forward. Try and look towards the horizon.
6. Hold your paddle with one hand capped on the end. The other hand should be near the center. Your paddle blade should be pointing forward.
7. Be safe and use common sense. Stay away from rocks, reefs, boats and other paddlers. Be aware of the wind, tide, and currents. Have fun!
